Birth Detroit’s forthcoming clinic in the city of Detroit is a groundbreaking facility built in a multi-phase campus development. Each of the four buildings is designed with a nearly identical layout, allowing for design economy and consistency in quality user experience.

With programming spanning from birthing suites and visitor rooms to kitchen and communal areas, the Birth Center is designed to accommodate the sacred and demanding process of child labor in an environment that soothes and prioritizes the well-being of all its occupants. From calming material selections for the interior with a focus on tactility and acoustic treatment, to its courtyards for repose and relaxation, Partners’ Design Build ensured architectural harmony remained at the center of this design solution.

Serving as client rep, architect, and contractor, Partners’ Design Build’s involvement spans from assisting with property acquisition to fundraising meetings with the client team and donors. As a team focused on visioning to actualization, our ‘concept-to-keys’ approach consolidates coordination between design and construction, with the client’s representation foregrounded in our every decision.
